Biofase enzymes are a 100% vegetarian proprietary enzyme blend of hydrolytic enzymes specifically designed to target many species of yeast, pathogenic bacteria and other harmful organisms within the digestive tract.* Biofase also assists in supporting a balanced intestinal environment and is safe to take with probiotics and other supplements.
Biofase contains cellulase, hemicellase and beta-glucnase to eat the glucan and chitin component in the biofilm and yeast cell. Our lab tests have revealed that the cellulase and hemicellase also have beta-glucanase and chitonase side activity that help digest the glucan and chitin in the biofilm and cell wall.
Glucoamylase, amylase and invertase are included and have been found to eat the polysaccharides in the biofilm and cell wall. Protease to eat the polypeptides of the biofilm, mannoproteins and nucleus of the yeast cell, and lipase to eat the fatty lipids. Biofase also includes a serrapeptase enzyme that eats the fibrinogen of the biofilm making it a complete yeast eating enzyme formula.
Serrapeptase also goes into the blood stream and cleans the blood of dead tissue, blood clots, plaque, cysts, fibrin and other unwanted microbes. It also helps reduce inflammation.
These enzymes have a very long track record of safety. Children can take them at a suggested dose of 1/2 capsule per 40 lbs of bodyweight. However, Biofase has been used successfully by parents of 1 year olds with yeast infections at a dose of 1 capsule twice a day with no adverse reactions.
One capsule of Biofase for yeast enzymes contains 525mgs of cellulase, hemicellulase, invertase, glucoamylase, amylase, protease, beta-glucanase, serratiopepidase(serrapeptase), and lipase.
Biofase does not contain egg, dairy, preservatives, salt, sucrose, soy, wheat, yeast, nuts, corn, gluten, potato, rice, artificial colors or flavors. Capsules are 100% Vegetarian composed of water and cellulose.

Biofase enzymes should be taken at a dose of one capsule per day away from meals, bedtime is best, for a few days. Then raise the dose to twice per day; taking one capsule an hour before breakfast and one capsule at bedtime for a few days. After that, continue with one capsule an hour before breakfast but begin taking two capsules at bedtime. After a few more days, raise the dose to two in the morning and two at night. After a few more days I would go to the recommended therapeutic dose of 3 capsules twice a day. You can always take more if you choose to; these enzymes have a long history of safety and are not toxic in any way. However, some people may have the occasional intestinal distress or a cleansing reaction from these enzymes because the problems in their gut are so severe. If this happens to you I urge you to stick with it, it will get better as the enzymes clean up the mess. You can however back off the dose or stop taking them for a few days. Usually after a few days, you can start back up and not have anymore problems.
